"Ordered 7/10 got order confirmation from economist.com (and could sign up for digital) on 7/22 and received first paper issue on 7/30. Very fast, and awesome service from magazinedeals.com. As for the periodical itself, there's really nothing that compares to the comprehensiveness and frequency especially when it comes to international relations. The price has gone up substantially over the past 10 years (I used to get a year with just a few thousand airline miles), but it's worth it and a great complement to others in the field (e.g., Foreign Affairs). Complaints are normally around nostaglia of what people remember the magazine used to be like, but when I first subscribed 20 years ago I remember remembering those same type of negative reviews. I thought it was great then, and think it's great now. Buy one at the newstand for yourself and that will help you decide if you should subscrib or not."

"I've been reading The Economist for quite a few years and the lack of ads coupled with authentic content from a centrist's view point is thoroughly enjoyable. My only complaint, in my personal opinion, is sometimes articles do tend to drag on. Otherwise, well worth the cost and read."
